What is the Role?

SSE has set a target of tripling its Renewable generation output to 30TWh by 2030. A significant proportion of this capacity will be contracted through competitive processes or auctions in the UK & Ireland as well as internationally. Success in these processes will be crucial for delivering at this scale and will be dependent on an innovative approach to adding value to projects and bids.

As Bid Co-ordinator, you’ll work in the SSE Renewables bid team, working across markets and technologies to deliver competitive and commercially robust bids. You will be responsible for providing effective and efficient bid-coordination and administrative support to the Bid Director and bid team.

A large part of this role involves collating bid compliance and administration documents, supporting bid governance as well as data gathering/analysis and reporting to ensure that the team are organised and focused on their designated responsibilities.

What do I need?

Were looking for someone who has demonstrable experience in a fast-paced environment with multiple work streams in play, and a focus on achieving and delivering results within challenging deadlines. You’ll have an excellent grasp of bid compliance and supporting bid processes and submissions.

As a main point of contact for the bid and wider support team you will be responsible for managing all documentation and information going to and from the client and joint venture partners. This will entail developing and managing; Compliance Registers, Technical Query Registers and SharePoint sites. Furthermore, you will be responsible for managing all document management requirements of bids in line with bid processes and work break down structures, continuously monitoring the application of these to ensure they are up to date and consistently adopted.

A knowledge of basic financial processes such as invoice processing, raising purchase orders etc. will be required,

Excellent organisational and verbal and written communication skills are a must. You’ll be very familiar with report writing and competent using Microsoft Office packages such as SharePoint, word, excel, power point, project and outlook.

As a person, you’ll have a proactive interest in the energy market, and the associated economic and political issues faced within the UK. Also, you’ll have a passion for customer services and pride yourself on your outstanding stakeholder management skills, both internal and external.
