About the Role

Base Location: We are happy to offer a Flexible First approach to working and this role is no exception. We will however, need your base location to be within commutable distance from our Perth, Reading or Portsmouth offices.

Salary: £44,195 – £50,611 and a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.

Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Flexible First options available

Our Connections Contract team are responsible for ensuring all Major Connection Contracts are produced to a high standard, and in line with our Guaranteed Standards.

As part of this team, you’ll manage your own portfolio of Connections customers, providing an effective service to each, managing their expectations and assisting them with any queries they may have. You will have full responsibility for the delivery of exceptional customer service and outstanding performance against customer satisfaction, whilst working closely with your team and management.

You’ll also liaise with a range of stakeholders, such as internal Design Managers and external regulation and legal bodies to ensure information is up to date and accurate, whilst ensuring compliance is maintained throughout.

You will have the responsibility for the relationship between SSEN and the customer segment assigned which could include ICP’s, IDNOs, local council, industry bodies and connection customers or large-scale projects.

Key responsibilities in this role will include:

– Managing a portfolio of major connections customers.

– Preparation and management of commercial connections contracts.

– Managing relationships and communication with key industry bodies.

– Understanding customer requirements whilst managing.

– Managing internal relationships within the organisation acting as the voice of the customer.

What do I need?

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

– Relevant commercial contracts experience.

– An understanding of the regulatory environment in which we operate and experience in managing stakeholder and customers involved in large financial transactions.

– A track record of problem solving and challenging established process.

– Excellent organisational skills which facilitates meeting deadlines.

– Experience of influencing and negotiating effectively at all levels.

Please note this is not a sales role; you will need to demonstrate excellent commercial skills in the interview process.
