Base Location: Perth
Salary: £25,421 – £33,577 depending on skills and experience
Working Pattern: Permanent Full Time, 37 hours per week – Flexible working patterns available

Our SSE Finance function has a key part to play in fulfilling SSE’s obligations as a UK-listed company, providing expertise and services that can be shared across the SSE Group, and working in partnership with all businesses to provide services tailored to their specific needs. What is the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Accounts Analyst to join the Renewables Financial Control team based in Perth. In this role, you will be responsible for the execution of comprehensive general accounting and period end closing activities. You will support the Finance Manager and Accountants through the accurate and timely execution of transactional activities such as posting journals, running reports and preparing balance sheet reconciliations. You will also be responsible for producing budgets and forecasts and provide support to the commercial finance team
What do I need?
We are looking for you to join us with a background working in a trainee or assistant accountant role and you will have a basic knowledge of core financial systems and ERP software – Oracle would be beneficial.
Ideally you will have commenced study with a professional accounting body (e.g. CIMA, ACCA, ACA, CPA or AAT) and it would be an advantage for you to have an awareness of current regulations including IFRS. You must have excellent MS Excel skills and systems experience in Oracle and TM1 would be highly advantageous.
As an individual you will be a good communicator, professional and diligent, with the ability to work to tight deadlines and under pressure, whilst never compromising on the quality of your work. You will be flexible, adept at managing expectations and be able to adapt to changing business needs.
