We have an exciting and challenging opportunity for a Transmission Control Support Engineer, the key responsibilities are:

– To ensure that Transmission Control Centre operations has quality business processes in place.

– Improve the control centre and commissioning team processes safety and control room operation.

– To support the development and review of TCC training and support documentation.

– To help support the delivery of transmission projects and maintenance to ensure that the transmission system operates reliably and effectively.

– To work with other participants in the industry to investigate and report system events.

What do I need?

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

– A degree in electrical engineering and preferably have a relevant background in high voltage power system Transmission Operations and Planning, although other relevant backgrounds will be considered. You should be qualified to or working towards a recognised professional registration.

– A sound knowledge and understanding of electrical power systems and the related operating standards.

– The ability to develop your technical and problem-solving skills, whilst using your knowledge and communication skills to engage with project managers, engineers, stakeholders, and National Energy System Operator to fulfil the needs of a growing network.

– The ability to study our operations processes to improve safety, quality and efficiency.
