About the role

Base Location: Perth, Aberdeen, Inverness or Dundee

Salary: £39,415 – £45,136 + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Flexible First options available

The role is to enhance the current warehousing and material management team and support to the Transmission Operations field teams. It will engage with external and internal teams and suppliers to ensure all stock spares are maintained and stored in accordance with technical designs, manufacturers specifications and SHE Transmission policies/guidance. It will also facilitate the operations directorate on the retention and re-use of de-commissioned assets.

– Provide technical assistance and guidance to logistics team at our various locations.

– Ensure all materials are stored as per manufacturer or SHE Transmission specifications and policies.

– Interface with subject matter experts to help deliver additional specifications or policies.

– Ensure all technical documentation/records are recorded and maintained.

– Advise SSEN Transmission project teams on the retention of proposed decommissioned plant and equipment and provide technical interface with Asset Management team for obsolete equipment.

– Assist Material Manager with the spares forecasting.

What do I need?

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

– Experience of HV plant and equipment

– I/T Knowledge

– Financial awareness

– Good verbal and written communication skills
