We’re looking for a Portfolio Risk and Assurance Manager to join our brand new team. This is a phase of fast paced transformation, and you can help shape how we do things. Youll work with other experts to add real value and help us reach our targets through innovative thinking and approach.

About the Role

Base Location: Reading, Havant, Perth, Glasgow, Aberdeen or Inverness

Salary: £47,600 -£71,600 + performance related bonus and a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.

Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Flexible First options available

As Portfolio Risk and Assurance Manager, you’ll play a critical role in the effective management of risk across Technology Digital and Data change landscape and service Operations. This includes the identification, quantification and analysis of risk trends and overall risk exposure alongside the value driven mitigation of these risks and planning and implementation of contingencies as appropriate.

Key responsibilities for this role will include:

– Ensuring accurate risk trend and exposure reporting.

– Managing risk budgets to meet strategic goals within set timeframes and budgets.

– Monitoring and enhancing mitigation strategies to align with risk impact and exposure.

– Conducting scenario planning to assure robustness of contingency strategies.

– Supporting the application of audit and assurance frameworks to improve risk management strategies.

What do I need?

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

– Strong experience in Portfolio Risk Management and Assurance leadership experience within IT, OT and Data context.

– Experience of working within a Portfolio Management Office would be beneficial with a good working knowledge of key Service and change delivery processes, including status reporting, assurance and audit, budgeting and estimating, risk and issue management, quality gates and change management.

– Qualified to Practitioner Level in an industry recognised Risk Management Methodology.

– Be familiar with structured project management methodologies and a good understanding of the end-to-end project delivery lifecycle, in particular Agile delivery.

Ability to effectively prioritise and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial.
