Base Location: Keadby, North Lincolnshire

Salary: £41,583 – £48,296 + shift allowance + performance-related bonus + a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.

Working Pattern: Permanent | Shift Rota Days/Nights | Full Time | Flexible First options available

About the role

SSE Thermal have a fantastic opportunity for a Production Technician to join our Operations team at Keadby. You will be part of a small operational shift team reporting into a Team Leader with operational accountability for Keadby 1 and 2 Power Stations.

The key responsibilities of the role are;

– Carrying out various operational activities including pre-start checks, start-up, shut-down and routine tasks. These tasks are both control room based and local to plant.

– Ensuring the power stations meet SSE’s availability targets and are operated in line with internal and external compliance requirements.

– Completing various authorised roles under SSE’s Safe System of Work, including isolation, testing and setting to work.

What do I need?

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

– A formal qualification in an operational and/ or engineering related discipline. You should preferably have experience of working in an operational role, working on large scale processing plant. Experience in delivering the accountabilities outlined would be advantageous.

– Excellent communication skills with great interpersonal and relationship building skills.

– Ability to problem solve and work independently.

– As you will be required to travel to different sites and attend training off site, it is essential that you have a full driving licence.
