Base Location: You’ll be expected to spend 50% of your working week in our Glasgow, Edinburgh, Perth or Reading
Salary: £42,600 – £64,000 + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

The role
– Design, build and continuously improve reliable, reusable data pipelines and models that support safe, efficient and high‑quality decision making.
– Work collaboratively with stakeholders across business and technology teams to deliver data solutions that create meaningful commercial value.
– Champion best practice in data governance, security and quality, ensuring solutions are operationally robust and safe for production use.
– Explore and apply new technologies and approaches, helping evolve our data platforms while keeping long‑term sustainability and safety in mind.
– Promote understanding and trust in data and analytics, sharing knowledge in an open, supportive and inclusive way.
You will
– Strong experience in Python/PySpark and SQL, with a confident and thoughtful approach to building data solutions.
– Proven data engineering experience across data preparation, transformation and scalable processing of complex datasets.
– Experience working with platforms such as Databricks, Azure, ADF, Streamlit or similar cloud‑based technologies.
– A good understanding of data modelling, ELT patterns, and data governance and security best practice.
– A curious, collaborative mindset with strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to communicate clearly and build trusted relationships.
